Located in Conroe just minutes from the Woodlands, NFA Investments is a Houston, Texas, area based small business which is licensed by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) as a type 07 manufacturer of Title I firearms and Class 02 SOT manufacturer of Title II weapons; Title II weapons are those regulated by the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA) and include short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, suppressors, machine guns, and any other weapons (AOW’s).

NFA Investments primarily serves the NFA weapons community including law enforcement agencies and serious collectors. NFA Investments offers gunsmithing services including engraving and repair / replacement of regulated components.

With a Type 07 FFL and a Class 02 SOT, NFA Investments holds a higher level license than a regular Type 01 FFL / Class 03 SOT (“Class 3 Dealer”). In addition to manufacturing custom NFA weapons, NFA Investments also offers transfer services just as regular class 03 dealers.

Please refer to the above FAQ pages BEFORE contacting NFA Investments with general NFA questions such as “how do I buy a silencer / machinegun / short barreled weapon / Class 3 / ETC.” The information contained in Mr. Bardwell’s FAQ page and the Texas Gun Trust Website provide answers to most of the frequently asked questions. As this is just a part-time business, I simply do not have time to verbally explain the entire process for everyone who calls or emails to ask. The written FAQ pages do a FAR better job of answering general questions. Transfers: NFA Investments no longer commercially offers FFL transfer services (Title I or NFA). 

Title I Gunsmithing:  Repair and customizing rifles, shotguns, pistols, and revolvers. 

Title II (NFA) Gunsmithing: Services such as repair / retrofitting of silencers (i.e. changing end cap from wipe design to a wipeless design),  repair of machine guns, etc.

NFA Investments will service (repair, modify) other manufacturer’s suppressors.  Per recent ATF decisions, NFA Investments is unable to change the caliber of any existing customer owned suppressor. 

Sales:  Sales of Title I and Title II weapons, new and used,  to  qualified individuals, trusts, and corporations / LLC’s., including new and used Title I and Title II weapons. Items include regular rifles, shotguns, and handguns as well as machine guns, silencers, short barreled rifles and shotguns, and any other weapons (AOW’s).

PER FEDERAL LAW, NO MACHINEGUNS CAN BE MADE, MANUFACTURED, OR CONVERTED FOR CIVILIAN USE AFTER MAY 19, 1986. PLEASE DO NOT CALL AND ASK IF NFA INVESTMENTS CAN CONVERT YOUR SEMI-AUTO WEAPON TO FULL AUTO UNLESS YOU ARE A CURRENT FFL / SOT WITH AN APPROPRIATE LAW ENFORCEMENT DEMO LETTER.

For Class 03 Dealers and Law Enforcement Agencies:

In addition to the above services, NFA Investments can remanufacture (from your Title I guns or NFA Investments’ inventory) new Title II weapons which will transfer to you tax exempt on a Form 3 (Class 02 or 03 dealer) or Form 5 (Law Enforcement agencies ONLY). Pricing for this service starts at $100.00 for readily engraved weapons; weapons must be received in stripped configuration unless previous arrangements were made otherwise additional shop time will be billed.
